Refund Policy

Learn how refunds, cancellations, advance payments, software purchases, and development project payments are handled at Ankit Technology.

Effective: September 4, 2026Last Updated: September 4, 2026

Important: This is a general refund-policy template. Your actual refund rules should match your payment process, products, contracts, applicable consumer laws, and business practices. Consider obtaining legal advice before publishing the final policy.

1. Refund Policy Overview

At Ankit Technology, we aim to provide reliable development services and useful software products. Because our services may involve custom development, engineering time, infrastructure, and digital delivery, refund eligibility depends on the type of product or service purchased.

Before starting a project or purchasing a product, customers should carefully review the scope, features, pricing, deliverables, and applicable terms.

2. Custom Development Services

Custom development includes services such as website development, Android application development, AI development, AI model training, DevOps, cloud deployment, and custom software development.

Once development work has started, payments for completed work, approved milestones, or time already spent may generally be non-refundable.

If a project is cancelled before development begins, any refund will depend on the applicable quotation, agreement, work already performed, and non-refundable third-party expenses.

3. Project Deposits and Advance Payments

Some projects may require an advance payment or initial deposit before development begins.

An advance payment may be used to reserve development time, begin project planning, prepare infrastructure, create designs, or start development.

Where work has already started, the amount refundable, if any, will depend on the work completed and the terms agreed for the project.

4. Milestone Payments

Larger projects may be divided into multiple development milestones.

Each milestone may represent a specific set of deliverables, features, development stages, or project objectives.

Once a milestone has been completed and approved, the payment for that milestone may not be refundable except where required by applicable law or specifically agreed otherwise.

5. Ready-Made Software Products

Software products sold through the website may be delivered digitally, hosted online, provided as source code, or deployed to a customer's infrastructure.

Because digital software can often be accessed, downloaded, copied, or delivered immediately, purchases may generally be non-refundable once the product, source code, license, download, account access, or deployment has been provided.

If a product has a specific refund guarantee, that guarantee will be clearly stated on the relevant product page or purchase agreement.

6. Software Customization

Customization work performed on a ready-made software product may be treated as custom development.

Payments for customization, configuration, integration, deployment, or additional development may become non-refundable after the work has started.

The scope and cost of customization should be agreed upon before the additional work begins.

7. Project Cancellation

A client may request cancellation of a project by contacting us as soon as possible.

If cancellation occurs after development has started, the client may be responsible for payment for:

  • Completed development work
  • Approved milestones
  • Design and planning work already performed
  • Development resources already committed
  • Non-refundable third-party costs
  • Infrastructure or hosting expenses already incurred

Any remaining refundable balance will be determined according to the applicable project agreement.

8. Non-Refundable Items

Unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by applicable law, the following may be non-refundable:

  • Completed development work
  • Approved project milestones
  • Custom software development
  • Custom design work
  • AI model training already performed
  • Data preparation and processing work
  • Cloud or hosting costs already incurred
  • Third-party service charges
  • Domain registration costs
  • Software licenses purchased for a project
  • Digital products already delivered
  • Custom integrations already completed

9. Bugs and Technical Issues

A technical bug in delivered software does not automatically qualify for a refund.

Where a defect is covered by the agreed support or warranty period, we will make reasonable efforts to investigate and correct the issue according to the project agreement.

Issues caused by third-party services, changes made by the client, unsupported environments, hosting configuration, external APIs, or modifications made outside our development scope may not be covered.

10. Third-Party Services

Projects may depend on third-party services such as hosting providers, cloud platforms, payment gateways, APIs, authentication providers, analytics platforms, or other external services.

Fees paid directly to third-party providers are generally subject to those providers' own refund policies.

We cannot guarantee refunds for third-party charges that are outside our control.

11. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or discuss a payment issue, contact us with the information necessary to identify your purchase or project.

Please include:

  • Your name
  • Email address used for the purchase or project
  • Project or product name
  • Payment date
  • Reason for the refund request
  • Relevant order, invoice, or transaction information

We may request additional information when necessary to review the request.

12. Refund Review Process

Each refund request will be reviewed based on the type of service or product, the applicable agreement, work completed, delivery status, payment history, and the reason for the request.

We may communicate with the customer to understand the issue and determine an appropriate resolution.

Approved refunds will generally be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

13. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund has been approved, processing time may depend on the payment provider, bank, card network, or other financial institution.

The time required for the funds to appear in the customer's account may therefore vary.

14. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe a payment was made incorrectly or there is a problem with a purchase, please contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve the issue.

Unauthorized or fraudulent transactions should also be reported immediately to the relevant payment provider or financial institution.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection or payment laws.

15. Changes to This Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy when our services, products, payment processes, or business practices change.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.

The refund terms applicable to a specific purchase may also depend on the agreement or product terms accepted at the time of purchase.
